SCORE 390 announces Speaker Line-Up for First Women’s Entrepreneur Conference
Annapolis, MD – July 7, 2016/ The Southern Maryland Chapter of SCORE has announced the Speaker Line-up for their first-ever Women’s Entrepreneur Conference, set for September 20, 2016 at Anne Arundel Community College’s Arnold campus. The Conference: Women: Changing the Face of the American Dream, is specifically designed for women thinking about starting a business or in the first couple of years of their endeavor.
Maureen Edwards, SCORE Mentor and Conference organizer, notes: “Anyone starting a business faces an uphill battle, but women often face additional challenges. That’s why I’m so excited about our speaker roster; we have a terrific mix of the practical and the inspirational.”
Featured speakers include:
- Kathleen Booth, Co-founder and CEO of Quintain Marketing – “So you really want to start a business?”
- Jen Sterling, CEO of Red Thinking Communications – “A Day in the Life of an Entrepreneur”- The trials, tribulations and triumphs”
- Jamie Kizer, CEO of BizPeake Magazine – “The Entrepreneurial Mindset”
- In addition, a Panel of “Four Must-Have Business Partners” will discuss key considerations for entrepreneurs in the Legal, Accounting, Banking and Insurance areas.
Edwards emphasized: “This conference provides the opportunity to hear from successful women entrepreneurs, learn the factors that drive success, and network with similarly inclined women, as well as potential business partners.”
